If you're looking for face-to-face support, MentPhys Wellness offers in-person therapy at our two North Carolina locations—Raleigh and Wake Forest—with Matthew Ross, LCSWA—our only clinician currently seeing clients in person. Matthew provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, college students, adults, and older adults, with particular experience supporting student athletes and high performers navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, and performance-related pressure.

How in-person therapy works:
Sessions take place face-to-face at either our Raleigh or Wake Forest office—whichever location works best for your schedule. In-person sessions can be a good fit if you prefer meeting in the same room as your therapist, want a dedicated space away from home, or are participating in group therapy alongside other clients. Simply arrive a few minutes early for your first visit to complete any remaining paperwork.

Do I need to be a certain age to start therapy?
We see adolescents, teens, college students, and adults.
Is therapy covered by insurance in NC?
Matthew is in network with BCBS and Aetna. All other insurances are out of network.
We're happy to provide a superbill upon request if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance provider.
Is nutrition counseling also available in NC?
Yes — but it is only available virtually, no in-person options are available at this time.
Do you have after school, evening, and weekend availability?
Yes, Matt has availability after school evenings and Saturdays.
What is the cost of a virtual therapy individual session?
$175/ 50 minute session
Are there in-person groups at either locations?
Yes, we currently have a mens group meeting in-person at our Raleigh location.
